NOTCH II

$0.00

Notch II is a 7-foot bench with an 18” deep seat and 16” height. The default top and base are white oak but can be optioned out at additional cost.

This collection finds its foundation in ‘cribbage’, a rough-cut lumber used to build support structures called ‘cribs’ in coal mines. This material which would otherwise go to waste, is recycled, hand-cut, and charred to create the pedestal base at the root of this collection. A visual connection is easily made between the harsh and sporadic dark forms and the raw minerals drawn from the earth.
