NOTCH I

$0.00

Notch I, the foundation of the collection is a hand-cut and charred pedestal with a carbon wash + oil/wax finish applied by hand.

This collection finds its foundation in ‘cribbage’, a rough-cut lumber used to build support structures called ‘cribs’ in coal mines. This material which would otherwise go to waste, is recycled, hand-cut, and charred to create the pedestal base at the root of this collection. A visual connection is easily made between the harsh and sporadic dark forms and the raw minerals drawn from the earth.
